Swift Heaters
Over the side elements with a convenient screw off cap

The screw off cap provides a vapour tight seal but offers the convenience of easy access for checking and replacing elements. Heaters can be custom made to your specifications. These can have hot and cold zones to suit any application by using a ceramic type replacement element. Replacement elements are tubular sheathed elements.

* In phosphating solutions a number of low kilowatt heaters are recommended rather than one high kilowatt heater.

Where possible it is advisable to install heaters in multiples of three to balance the phases. The temperature probe should be placed at a reasonable distance from the heaters in order to keep accurate temperature control.

Control panels can be manufactured to your requirements incorporating temperature and liquid level controls.

Titanium heaters can be used in a wide range of alkaline and acid solutions. It is important to be aware of varying temperature and concentration of solutions which could cause chemical attack. In electroplating processes like nickel plating, the Titanium sheath should be connected so as to act as an anode to prevent corrosion.

Stainless steel heaters are suitable for use in phosphating solutions and alkaline or neutral PH solutions. Where some acidic processes recommend stainless steel tanks, Vitrosol Heaters should be used as the high surface temperature of the heater tube can cause chemical attack on the stainless steel.

Vitrosol or Quartz Glass Heaters are made from translucent fused silica. It is suitable for heating acid solutions as it is inert to most acids and has a very low co-efficient of expansion. It is not suitable for use in hydrofluoric acid or strong alkaline solutions. To prevent mechanical damage it should be protected by a polypropylene or PVC guard.
